Abstract
Video will demonstrate challenges faced during phacoemulsification and its management in 3 such cases operated during the last one year; in two males and one female patient.
Preoperative use of atropine, intraoperative use of high viscosity viscoelastic, intracameral use of epinephrine and phenlyephrine, pupil expanders/ iris hooks and low machine parameters are some of the steps recommended to safely perform phacoemulsification in cases at risk of IFIS.
