Abstract
Aim-to study the outcome of minimally invasive scleral suture fixation of subluxated bag IOL complex. Method-Retrospective interventional case series. Consecutive patients who underwent minimally invasive scleral fixation of subluxated complex were included. Data of these patients were analysed in terms of IOL centration/tilt, Best corrected Visual acuity(BCVA) and postoperative complications.Results-13 eyes of 13 patients were included.7 & 6 patients underwent 2 point & single point fixation respectively. Mean (SD) of the age is 68.6 (6.8) years.84.6%of patients are males. Mean (SD) of the axial length is 23.92 (1.4) mm.Median follow-up is 46.0 months with the IQR 22 to 59 months. All patients had centered IOL except one eye which had decentered fixation.Preoperative Median BCVA was 0.48 which was 0.18 logMAR in the last followup. The astigmatism in post operative eyes were lesser than preoperative astigmatism
Conclusion-This method of scleral fixation yields good longterm outcome
