Abstract

Intraocular lesions constitute one of a common and yet neglected part of the ophthalmology curriculum. Despite available advanced imaging technology ophthalmologists find difficulty in the diagnosis of certain intraocular lesions. Early and accurate clinical diagnosis is key in the management of any intraocular tumor, especially malignant ones. Many cases in their late stages present as neovascular glaucoma, painful blind eye leading to a masquerade, and a diagnostic challenge. In this instruction course, we will focus on tips to diagnose commonly seen intraocular tumors and the approach of an ophthalmologist to such cases.
