Abstract
A 23 year old Male presented after 3 weeks with history of fall on face due to electrocution. The patient had suffered multiple injuries on eyelids, face, elbow, arms and legs and was admitted for 1 week in a multi-speciality hospital for treatment. On Ophthalmic Evaluation, the patient was found to have decreased vision in both eyes. On dilatation, both eyes showed rosette shaped cataract due to direct fall on face and anterior subcapsular cataract with peripheral opacities as a result of electrocution. Electrocution burns could be seen on his arms.
Such a case where both etiologies co-exist – that is direct trauma and electrocution is rare to be seen.
The photographic documentation was done with consent.
