Abstract
A 65-year-old male, presented to OPD with complaints of DOV in the right eye. Patient gave history of cataract surgery in both eyes & medical records showed history of trauma to the right eye 38 years back. He was diagnosed with IOFB which was surgically removed. Patient developed traumatic cataract in the right eye for which cataract surgery with Sputnik intraocular lens implantation was done in February, 1983 . Post-operatively, the BCVA was recorded as 20/30 in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye. He presented in February, 2021 with complaint of DOV in his right eye. On examination there was significant Posterior Capsular Opacification in the right eye. Fundus details was not visible in the right eye due to dense PCO. B scan done for the right eye was normal. Endothelial cell count was 1798 cells/mm2 in the right eye. Nd:YAG capsulotomy was done in the right eye for PCO. On follow-up after 2 weeks the BCVA in the right eye was 20/40 with adequately sized capsulotomy opening.
