Abstract

Aim of study-To study about recent trends of keratoplasty in a tertiary care centre of southern odisha.

Materials &methods- prospective study conducted at a tertiary care hospital of southern odisha from 2018 to 2020.

Observation & results- Among all the patients male 61.1%,females 35.9% common age group 41-50 yrs, mean age of pts 51.56 yrs.Optical PK 46.60%,Therapeutic pk 40.0%,tectonic pk 6.66% & regrafts 6.66%.most common cause of pk was non healing corneal ulcer with corneal scarring.

Conclusion-There are varieties in the trend of patients undergoing keratoplasty according to geographic variations .
