Abstract
Glaucoma surgery is undergoing a period of revolution. Traditional surgeries like Trabeculectomy & Tubes are very effective procedures, however, they may be associated with sight threatening complications. Some patients may have issues of noncompliance, allergies & intolerance with medications. Minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries( MIGS) are becoming popular & rapidly adapted as they offer reasonably high safety profile. For patients with mild, moderate & even advanced disease, MIGS potentially broaden the therapeutic options. Trabectome can also be used in the management of primary congenital glaucoma. Trabectome is a plasma mediated ablation system, which restores the aqueous outflow through the traditional outflow pathway by ablating the trabecular meshwork and inner wall of Schlemm’s canal. This video will demonstrate the technique of Ab Interno Goniectomy in a patient with primary open angle glaucoma and bilateral Trabectome in cases of primary congenital glaucoma.
