Abstract
Congenital ectropion uveae (CEU) is a rare neural crest disorder characterized by hyperplasia of posterior pigmented iris epithelium over the anterior iris surface around the pupillary margin. In our clinical experience ectropion uveae (EU) that is diagnosed in older children has a different phenotype than the EU that is seen associated with congenital glaucoma. In older children, The disease is usually unilateral, non progressive and associated with developmental glaucoma due to angle dysgenesis associated with unilateral facial hemihypertrophy and unilateral ptosis whereas the EU in congenital glaucoma is bilateral, associated with buphthalmos and dense leucomatous corneal opacity. In this case series we would highlight the clinical differences between the two groups.
