Abstract
Purpose:TO REPORT A RARE CASE OF ADAMANTINOMATOUS CRANIOPHARYNGIOMA,ITS PRESENTATION AND OUTCOME AFTER SURGERY.Method:29 years male patient presented with c/o sudden diminision of vision and headache since 10 days. on examination vision RE 6/60 ph 6/60NIF ; LE 6/36 ph 6/36NIF with normal A/S and fundus. On confrontation he has both temporal feild loss. On visual fields bitemporal hemianopia noted.on MRI well defined cystic mass in suprasellar area of 20*24*23 mm separately from pituitary gland.patient is referred to neurosurgeon.Result:patient underwent Rt pterional craniotomy.Gross total excision of tumour is done.Report came as ADAMANTINOMATOUS CRANIOPHARYNGIOMA.Endocrine work is normal.3 months post surgery BE 6/6 with improved feilds.Conclusion:Early diagnosis and management is beneficial,as it can greatly improve the quality of life of affected individuals and reduce the risk of long term complications. Due to the high rate of recurrence patient is kept on continuous follow up
