Abstract
AIM: In this study, we will assess the effect of Radiofrequency Vaporisation (RFV) on conjunctival lymphangioma
METHOD: Retrospective consecutive interventional study of 4 patients with conjunctival lymphangioma.
RESULTS: We had four study participants with a median age of 24 (mean=22.75+ 10.8) years. RFV was used to treat the conjunctival component in all the patients. Ocular surface was reconstructed with glued-on amniotic membrane in two. Significant resolution of the lesion was seen after one sitting of RFV in all patients. One patient required a repeat RFV session for the residual conjunctival component. No serious adverse effects in any patient were observed post treatment. No recurrence was noted at an average follow up of 3.25 years.
CONCLUSION: RFV is an excellent cost-effective and well-tolerated modality to treat the conjunctival component of ocular lymphangioma
