Abstract
BACKGROUND: Clear cell sarcoma accounts for 1% of all soft tissue sarcomas, affecting mainly adolescents and young adults.
CASE: A 32-year-old female came with protrusion of RE with painful diminution of vision and redness since 1month and loss of vision in RE since 10 days. She was diagnosed as right eye orbital mucormycosis at private hospital and started on injection posaconazole for 5 days. Right eye VA was no perception of light, non-axial proptosis with inability to close lid, extraocular movements restricted in all quadrants with exposure keratopathy and rest details could not be assessed. Left eye anterior segment was normal with early papilledema changes in fundus. CT showed right pansinusitis with involvement of orbital and preseptal regions. Right eye lid sparing exenteration was done. Histopathologic was suggestive of clear cell sarcoma.
CONCLUSION: Clear cell sarcomas are aggressive tumors and can be diagnostic dilemma in Covid19 due to mucormycosis.
