Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the anatomic, cosmetic, functional outcome of eye lash sparing orbital exenteration. To assess the recurrence of the disease and psyco-social status patient.
Methods: Prospective, interventional case study of 17 cases over period of 18 month. In out of 17 cases all the cases (FESS) was performed, 8 cases undergo Eye lash and lid sparing orbital exenteration. Scraping was done weekly for two months from the apex and wall of orbit for culture and H.P exam.
Results: Both upper and lower lids are retracted inwards. In FESS only LPS action 14,MRD-1 4,PFH 10.In combined FESS and exenteration LPS action -0 MRD -1 = – 4-4.5mm and PFH =0.
Conclusion; FESS is useful in early stage -1 .Eye lash sparing orbital exenteration is effective, infection spread into the posterior orbit. Cosmetic outcome is much better than conventional orbital exenteration.Psycho social status of the patient is very high.
