Abstract

44 YR Male,C/o: (LE)DOVx2.5 YR,f/b blunt trauma.(RE) trauma by fist 8 YR ago,had(RE)RD sx twice.BCVA(RE)PL+,(LE) CF 2 mt.(BE)IOP-10 mmHg.Fundus:(BE)0.9 CDR glaucomatous atrophy(RE)total RD+open funnel configuration(LE)total RD+lattice degeneration+atrophic hole+break+VMT+lens drop inferiorly.(LE)360 degree encirclage with 42 no. band+cryopexy for retinal breaks+SRF drainage.1st day post-op(LE)VA:CF 2 mt, NIPH,NVA:< N36,retina-flat,macula on+residual SRF+good buckle indentation+cryoreaction.1st week f/u BCVA(LE) DVA: 6/36 with +5.00 D Sph,NVA: N18 with +3.00 D Sph add,remain same over 1month f/u.1st month f/u:retina flat,macula on,fixed dropped lens inferiorly due to PVR changes.2 failed PPV in (RE)for RD,we did(LE)high buckle to induce trampoline effect for peripheral vitreous condensation.PVR changes helped to keep the dropped lens in place without movement,lens had sclerotic changes so,changes of phacolytic glaucoma minimal.Post-op retina well settled+favourable visual outcome.
