Abstract
Aim:To report a rare retinal manifestation of Post COVID 19
Method:Case report of 42 yr old healthy male with history of fever for 12 days, later tested to be COVID-19 positive, presented with diminution of vision both eyes(BE) for 6days. Fundus examination showed multiple, yellowish, refractile deposits in fovea(BE), with no retinal haemorrhages. SD-OCT showed highly refractile deposits at fovea(BE).FFA showed no leaks or hyperfluorescence. He was diagnosed as immune related foveolitis, post COVID & started on tapering dose of oral steroids for 4 weeks
Discussion&Conclusion: Post steroid treatment, visual acuity recovered by 3 lines(BE),SD-OCT revealed resolution of foveal deposits, suggesting immune complex deposition or production of autoantibodies as possible mechanism of pathogenesis. Similar immune complex related retinal manifestations have been documented, 1-4 weeks, post viral infections like Dengue, suggesting above retinal manifestation as immune related sequel of COVID 19
