Abstract
AIM: To measure macular thickness using OCT in Unilateral Amblyopic patients
MATERIALS & METHODS: Observational Case Control Study was done in 46 patients for 1 yr. Central macular thickness was measured in both amblyopic & normal fellow eye by OCT (ZEISS CIRRUS 500 HD). Patients with nystagmus, bilateral amblyopia & with history of previous occlusion therapy were excluded. A comprehensive eye examination was done.
RESULTS: 46 patients were enrolled (Age range 3-15yrs, Mean age 9.2±2.3). It was found that central macular thickness in amblyopic eye (236±24.56) was greater than the normal fellow eye (201±15.12) with p value
