Abstract

Traumatic subluxation and iridodialysis may both be present simultaneously.Each can be fixed separately on their own merit. Iridodialysis is managed by sewing machine ,cobblers or hang-back method. Subluxation is managed by CTR with or without capsular segment/s .This novel technique combines capsular bag stabilisation and simultaneous hang-back repair of iridodialysis(upto 45°) with a single loop of nonabsorbable suture(polypropylene/GoreTex) .Literature does not offer any suitable alternative. The New method of Fixation of the Capsular bag with the IOL to the sclera using a Hoffman pocket is reproducible . The final outcome is satisfactory long lasting fixation of the capsular bag with the IOL along with the iridodialysis to the ciliary sulcus.
