Abstract
A 60 year old male presented to us with only complaint of frequent changes in presbyopic glasses along with occasional frontal headache. Patient had acromegaly features. On ocular examinations-BCVA-6/24[RE]&CF-1/2mt.[LE],colour vision impaired[BES].pupil-sluggish reacting to light[RE],RAPD grade-2[LE].Fundus- primary optic atrophy-LE. Bow-tie OA-RE. On MRI-A large 7.5*5.5*4.1cm sized solid & cystic swelling s/o macroadenoma. pt. was referred to neurosurgery. Tumour debulking done by trans-sphenoidal approach. After surgery vision is stable. This report gains importance because of its unusual presentation with large tumour. Pituitary tumour can cause near vision abnormality should be kept in mind during presbyopic correction.
