SICS is the most commonly taught and performed surgery in India. In developing countries like India where the population is high, SICS is a boon as it allows for faster surgery with good visual quality. This course will discuss simple and innovative tricks to handle SICS in challenging conditions that coexist with cataract like corneal opacity, uveitis, glaucoma, subluxation, pterygium and astigmatism. Many different techniques of SICS are required when these diseases occur simultaneously with cataract. This course is designed for advanced SICS surgeon. The faculty have a wealth of experience of both SICS and teaching principles. This course will demonstrate ways to handle SICS in challenging conditions to improve the surgical outcome and reduce the chances of complications.
