Abstract
Dr. SANDEEP NAGVEKAR
The Course is an attempt to allay the fears amongst the attendees regarding the various daunting challenges encountered by cataract surgeons and provide them with the tools to withstand these challenges and emerge successfully from these nightmares. Common scenarios that would be discussed would include compromised corneas, small pupils and floppy iris, posterior polar cataracts, subluxated cataracts, managing intra-operative posterior capsular rents and various IOL Fixing Techniques in the absence of adequate capsular support. The Course will mainly be video-based and all the presenters will not only discuss the finer nuances of approaching such cases but also provide the most practical pearls to deal with these situations. Finally at the end of all presentations adequate time would be earmarked for discussions and active audience participation.
