Abstract
Methods-A case of 52year old female came with sudden diminision of vision in left eye.She had subtotal rhegamatogenous retinal detachment.Planned for Belt buckle and vitrectomy with silicon oil injection. belt buckle was abandoned due to thin sclera,we proceed with 23 G vitrectomy,after infusion cannula secured , Intra operatively there was a iatrogenic globe perforation with submacular haemorrage inferior to the disc.Post op patient has total hyphema, she was started on oral steroid and we observed has the medical management failed we went ahead with AC wash with vitreous lavage , GRT noted temporal to the disc , sub macular haemorrage removed , PFCL used retina was attached and endolaser done , PFCL ,silicon oil exchanged.
Results: globe perforation was addressed along with Retinal detachment . immediate treatment and management, has good visual prognosis and out come
