Abstract
Dr. MEENAKSHI YADAV DHAR
Glaucomas are very often missed until late stages. Glaucoma diagnosis and its severity is not ascertained by a single technique but an amalgamation of at least 5 different investigations. This IC is meant for both comprehensive ophthalmologists and glaucoma specialists. It aims to highlight with case based scenarios , what not to miss at each step in history & examination in patients of glaucoma with special emphasis on how not to miss secondary glaucomas. A meticulous slit lamp examination helps us suspect it . The speakers will highlight practical tips and precautions to take while performing & interpreting tonometry, gonioscopy, ONH exam, perimetry, OCT, so that errors in diagnosis are minimised. The individualized treatment algorithm will be discussed through panel discussion & audience interaction, keeping in mind the severity of the disease and patient’s quality of life.
