Abstract

This is case series of 50 iris claw lens I have put, difficulties I have faced and what I learnt after each case.
Materials and Methods : In all my cases, I have used posterior iris claw lens. Large PC rent or complete bag removal were indications for using iris claw lens.
Iris prolapse, hypotony, lens decentration, transient increase in iop and iris claw drop were intraoperative compliaction where as increase iop, irregular pupil, iris shaffing, hyphema, hypotony, TASS, endophthalmitis, and CME were post-operative complications.
Result: All patients except the one who had endophthalmitis gained vision from 6/6 to 6/12 post 1 month follow-up.
Conclusion: Retro pupillary iris claw implantation is relatively safe procedure with promising results if done with proper technique and more precautions
