Abstract

METHODS: since jan2020 prospective study to analyse results of normal risk keratoplasty..Dg based on slit lamp examn. Data analysis by PROPORTIONAL HAZARD MODEL FOR CENSORED DATA&KAPLAN-MEIER SURVIVAL CURVES. Parameters analysed:-AGE,SEX,ATOPIC DERMATITIS,DRY EYE SYMPTOMS OF RECEIPIENTS,GRAFT DIAMETER,POST OP INJURY&EPITHELIAL DEFECT,GRAFT STORAGE TIME,SUTURE MATERIAL USED,LOOSE SUTURES,PPK/APHAKIC CORNEAL EDEMA,POST OP INFECTIONS

RESULTS: Between jan 2020-jan2021eighty patients recruited& followed for a period of 12months.6pts(7.5%) experienced graft rejection(4 eyes with acute episode&2with chronic rejection episode).all but 1 regained clearity after topical &systemic steroid treatment.2 eyes were graft rejection suspect. Post op injury &epithelial defect 3eyes.tear insufficiency 1eye.Atopic dermatitis 2eyes.after 3months 95% were without any rejection.89%after 6months.

CONCLUSION: Incidence of rejection-8%within 1st postop year. atopic dermatitis &dry eye pt need special attention.
