Abstract
AIM: To check the clinical course of a case of bilateral herpetic endotheliitis
RECENT FINDINGS: Pseudophakic patient presented with bilateral corneal edema in disciform pattern, diminished ocular sensations and absence of immune suppression, implicative of acute bilateral herpes simplex endotheliitis. A decent response to topical steroid & antiviral therapy was noted.
SUMMARY: Bilateral herpetic endotheliitis and its complications can cause significant vision loss. Familiarity with its clinical features, wider adoption of viral PCR diagnostic technology, and recognition of the necessity for long-term maintenance medications form the idea for effective management
