Abstract

Erlotinib is an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor used to treat certain small cell lung cancers or advanced metastatic pancreatic cancers. We report a case of a 53 year old male with squamous cell carcinoma of the buccal mucosa who presented with severe conjunctival congestion, crusting and erythema of lid margins on erlotinib. Through this case we highlight the importance of prompt recognition and action in case of Erlotinib related ocular toxicity.
