Abstract
A 17 years old male presented with the chief complaint of diminution of vision and pain in left eye following trauma due to explosion of sand pot with a firecracker. The visual acuity in left eye was hand movement close to face. NCT in right eye was 17 mm Hg and in left eye was not record able. Slit lamp examination of right eye was normal. In left eye the lens was cataractous, iris atrophy was present from 6 to 9 o’ clock, hyphaema with blood clot was present in the anterior chamber. B scan of left eye showed cataractous lens with the posterior capsule intact. In the left eye red glow was absent. Gonioscopy of left eye showed angle recession in inferior and temporal quadrants. Patient underwent traumatic cataract explantation with PCIOL implantation. Post operative fundus findings showed a C:D ratio of 0.6 in left eye and the pressure was not record able. Patient then underwent trabeculectomy of left eye. After trabeculectomy there is reversal of C:D ratio to 0.3 in left eye.
