Abstract
AIMS
To estimate the prevalence of Acute leukemia manifestations, evaluate the pattern of pathological changes in post segment.
DESIGN
Cross sectional, noninterventional study
MATERIAL AND METHOD
32 patients of Acute leukemia,attended OPD were studied in duration of 3 years from 2017 TO 2020 in the retinal clinic of department of ophthalmology of medical college.
Patients demographic data, medical and treatment history taken in account
Routine eye examination was performed, along with gonioscopy,IOP, SLE,IDO. Fundus photography done for documentation of retinopathy.Haematological investigations and Radiological tests was done
RESULT
18males,12 females from age ranges pts18yrs–58yrs. Post segment reveals haemorrhage,leukemic infiltrates in 10pts. Subconj haemorrhage noticed in 10 other pts with no retinopathy. One pt revealed optic nerve edema inspite of taking treatment
CONCLUSION- retinopathy,a tool for diagnostic,management and prognostic value
