Abstract
PURPOSE This study highlights the nature of presentation of Retinoblostoma child at Tertiary Care Centre during COVID-19 Lockdown.
MATERIALS AND METHODS This is a retrospective analysis of clinical records of 9 patients admitted with retinoblastoma from April 2020 to April 2021.
RESULTS Out of 9 children evaluated for Retinoblastoma , 7 had unilateral involvement and 2 had bilateral ocular involvement. The most common presenting symptom was Proptosis with orbital mass seen in 6 eyes (42.8%) followed by Leucocoria seen in two eye (14.2%), Anterior and intercalary staphyloma in 1 eye.
All the affected eye had extraocular involvement requiring chemo-reduction and enucleation. 5 out of 9 children had an intracranial extension.
CONCLUSION Patient presents at late stages at a tertiary centre as well as Covid 19 Lockdown affected patients follow up which led to extensive ocular, extraocular and intracranial involvement as well as bilateral ocular involvement.
