Abstract
Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs) are a heterogeneous group of neurodegenerative disorders clinically characterized by progressive gait and limb ataxia, dysarthria and oculomotor abnormalities. We report a case of cerebellar ataxia with progressive proptosis. She presented to us as she was not able to wear glasses because of prominence of her eye (pseudoproptosis). The prognosis depends on the subtype of the SCA, but most of them are bound to wheel chair 15-20 years. We present this case to report this rare ophthalmic finding in an uncommon systemic disease.
