Abstract
A 23 Year old female presented to the ocular emergency with the chief complaints of left eye acuteprotision of the eyeball,periocular swelling , redness ,pain ,diminition of vision and restricted eye movements associated with fever since last 2 days.
There was no history of trauma,insect bite or any other systemic diseases.
The diagnosis was based on the exclusion of masquerade syndromes including including infectious diseases like mucormycosis,neoplasms,thyroid eye disease, sinusitis and vascular lesions.the diagnosis was made on the basis of lab and radiological evidence.
Patient was unresponsive to the sustained systemic antibiotics but showed drastic improvement after giving systemic steroids.
