Abstract
A 4 yr old hindu male child,of low socioeconomic status presented to our OPD with mass involving lower palpebral counjuctiva of rigt eye localised towards medial orbital wall ,which his parents notice 1 yr back.It was 2*2*0.5 cm .The mass was mobile,soft,nontender, erythematous,non reducible,and it was bleeding on touch.It was not associated with discharge,no regional lymphadenopathy.There was abscence of any mass in nasal cavity alos..The patient had history of pond bath.He had visual acuity of 6/6 both eyes and IOP 13 mm hg both eyes.Rest of the anterior segment and posterior segment was normal.on MRI of the orbit and brain it was found that there was no extension to intra orbital space and intracranial space.The mass was excised under GA and biopsy was sent for histopathological examination which showed positive for rhinosporidiosis.
