Abstract
To report a case of multiple myeloma presenting as orbital mass (extra medullary plasmacytoma).
A 65yr old male patient having chronic low backache and headache and with a boggy swelling in the right parietal region with on and off low grade fever and unexplained weight loss of 5-6kgs in the past few months with history of trivial trauma induced fracture of right humerus presented with a firm swelling of 7*5 cm in temporal quadrant of left orbit extending anteriorly abutting zygoma causing slight displacement of globe 1mm medially
Radiograph showing 3 large and few small punched out lesions in skull, pathological fracture of right humerus, and collapse of D12 vertebrae
MRI showing expansile lytic lesion in lateral wall of left orbit
Biopsy suggestive of plasmacytoma
Patient diagnosed as case a of multiple myeloma with extramedullary plasmacytoma of left orbit and was referred to oncologist and was started on radiotherapy and 2 cycles of VDT regimen and scheduled for more cycles.
