Abstract
•PURPOSE- Co-existence of unilateral congenital ptosis with inferior oblique overaction and its successful outcome after park’s procedure.
•METHODS- A 25 yr old presented with complaints of drooping of (LE) upper lid since birth.On examination (BE) BCVA is 6/6 with (LE) upper lid ptosis with 10 degrees hypertropia in (LE) and 10 degrees hypotropia in(RE) on HCRT.With other anterior segment and fundus is normal in (BE).On dextroversion, inferior oblique overaction (grade 4) in LE noted. Patient has BSV and good stereopsis in primary gaze. LE Park’s procedure (10mm inferior oblique recession)and IO is reinserted 3 mm lateral and inferior to IR muscle.
RESULTS- Post op HCRT – central in BE.
CONCLUSION- Successful outcome of this case and always strabismic surgery must precede ptosis correction.
