Abstract
We herein present images of two cases mimicking serpiginous choroiditis in cases with blunt trauma. Two cases of young adults with a past history of young adults presented with gradual worsening of vision in the affected eye.Fundus autofluorescence images revealed a serpiginous pattern of RPE atrophy encircling the disc and extending in a crawling pattern towards macular area, with central hypo fluorescence and mild, hyperfluorescence in the margins of the lesion simulating an ongoing retinochoroiditis. due to counter coup mechanism maximum injury happens to the RPE surrounding the disc which can mimic SGC later. Serpiginous choroiditis is a rare cause of posterior uveitis of unknown aetiology which presents as subretinal yellowish lesions that usually spread centrifugally starting from the peripapillary area. Both our cases had serpiginous choroiditis pattern which can be diagnostic dilemma’s if the history of past trauma is missed.
