Abstract
A 15 years old male referred to ophthalmology department with complaint of dimunition of vision in left eye for 1½ months, which was gradual in onset and progressive. He gave history of injury with stone to left eye
1½ months back following which he developed pain, redness for which he sought treatment locally .On examination, incidently found as a case of ocular albinism. BCVA in right & left eye was 6/36 & less than 6/60, respectively. There was small corneal scar measuring 0.8mm at 4 o’clock. In anterior segment examination there was an elongated foreign body at around 3 O’ clock position over iris, apparently measuring about 4.3 mm ,adhering partly to anterior capsule of lens at 3 O’ clock position with granulation tissue over & around FB with iris pigments over lens from 12 O’clock to 3 O‘ clock. We planned to remove FB. To our surprise, FB was actually about 2 mm in size after clearing the granulation tissue over it. Intra-op decision to remove the partly cataractous lens taken.
