Abstract
Aim-To study a case of Endogenous Fungal Endophthalmitis(EFE) in Post-Covid nasal and cutaneous mucormycosis patient.
Findings-Patient had streak hypopyon and 270 degree posterior synechaie. B-scan report s/o subretinal exudates and vitritis. Patient underwent AC tap+Vitreous tap+Core Vitrectomy+Intavitreal injection. Microbiological findings recorded.
Summary-The patient had history of covid infection. History of multiple risk factors; ocular findings and microbiology study was suggestive of Endogenous Fungal Endophthalmitis. The patient also had nasal and cutaneous mucormycosis. Endogenous Fungal Endophthalmitis has a poor visual prognosis. Awareness about possible ocular manifestations in post-covid patients might help in early detection, treatment, better visual prognosis and to prevent systemic complications.
