Abstract
This was a retrospective study of 17 eyes of 9 consecutive patients who was diagnosed as post pyrexial retinal microangitis. Retinal manifestations and final visual outcome were noted. 8 patients were male and 1 female. All patients presented with bilateral disease. Average duration from fever to presentation was 19days. Patients were treated with Oral Prednisolone acetate 1mg/kg bw. 4 patients had recurrence of retinitis with weekly oral tapering of prednisolone acetate. All of them resolved with increasing the dose of oral steroids. Visual acuity improved in all the patients, Macular ischemia and foveal thinning was the cause for vision less than 6/6.
