Abstract

PURPOSE:To analyse the predictability of the instrument for calculation of IOLpower &amp;K value ,to check the verion predicted refraction on final follow-up. METHOD: From March 20to May 21,prospective randomized clinical study of 120eyes done. Patients were assessed on both machines pre &amp;postoperatively. The calculation included predictive refractive outcome and IOLpower . RESULT: high relationship b/w pre-operative K1 (p<0.01r=0.975) &amp; pre-op K2 of IOLmaster &amp; VERION (p<0.01, r=0.981). There is strong correlation between Verion predicted Cyl &amp; Final ST Cyl . High relationship b/w VERION&amp;IOL implanted power (p<0.01 r=0.748). CONCLUSION: Strong agreement between the keratometry values , good correlation b/w predicted value of VERION &amp;Subjective testing of cylinder shows both instruments in conjunction can be used to achieve greater emmetropic outcomes. The VERION is designed to add accuracy &amp;efficiency during surgical planning .
