Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate visual and refractive outcomes and patient satisfaction, real world experience following bilateral implantation of PanOptixToric IOL
Methods: Prospective study wherein 30 patients with cataract received bilateral implantation of the AcrySof IQ PanOptix toric IOL (Alcon). Postoperative examination at 3 months included binocular UDVA, CDVA, defocus curve, contrast sensitivity and reading speeds and subjective outcomes including IOL SAT quality of vision questionnaire for patient satisfaction and spectacle independence.
Result: Mean UDVA, UIVA at 60 cms, 80 cms and UNVA were 0.02± 0.05, 0.06± 0.11, 0.03± 0.11 and 0.15± 0.12 logMAR respectively. Reading speeds evaluated with SRD at 60 and 80 cms were 132.48± 36.39 and 153.40± 23.62 wpm respectively
Conclusion: PanOptix toric IOL allowed complete visual restoration with good patient satisfaction and visual quality outcomes
