Abstract
Descriptive study of 40 eyes of patients who underwent cataract surgery with newer monofocal IOL with modified aspheric anterior surface that is designed to extend the depth of focus (EYHANCE). Post-op evaluation included distance, intermediate, and near visual acquity, defocus curve, IOL power, Axial length and subjective refraction and questionnaire based assessment of glare and haloes. Results: 40 eyes received EYHANCE IOL implantation. At 1 month follow-up UCDVA, BCDVA, Defocus curve, near and intermediate vision showed newer monofocal IOL had improved intermediate/near performance, with no complaints of glare and haloes. Conclusion: Monofocal IOL with modified aspheric anterior surface are good options for patients requiring better intermediate vision without compromising on contrast sensitivity and quality of vision
