Abstract
A 20-year-old male presented with diminution of vision in the left eye, insidious onset since 2 months with a vision of Counting fingers 1meter in the left eye, ill sustained pupil. Funduscopy showed disc with CDR-0.4:1 inferior margin blurring, and multiple flame-shaped hemorrhages,cotton wool spots around the macula,and inferotemporal arcade with hard exudates around the macula resembling a macular star.The patient was diagnosed with post-viral Neuroretinitis.LE OCT Macula showed macular edema with a thickness of 345 microns. IgG Ab to Toxoplasma,Rubella, HSV1, and CMV was elevated and the patient was started on oral Doxycycline 100mg bd x 1 week and Wysolone OD 50 mg x 7 days f/b 40 mg x 7 days.The patient was followed up after 2 weeks. On examination,BCVA in the LE improved to 6/6. Fundoscopy showed significant improvement with resolution in the hemorrhages,cotton wool spots and hard exudates.LE OCT on follow-up showed resolution of macula edema with a thickness of 260 microns.
