Abstract

Aim: To evaluate and analyse the outcome of Suture less and Glue free Limbal conjunctival autografting in cases of primary as well as recurrent pterygium. Settings and Design: This prospective interventional study was carried out between Feb 2019 to Feb 2020 at a tertiary care hospital. Methods: Total 70 patients with pterygium underwent suture less and glue free limbal conjunctival autograft. Patients were divided into: group 1 patients with primary pterygium (n = 45) and group 2 patients with recurrent pterygium (n = 25). Patient were followed up till 12 months post-surgery. Results: The mean age of patients in group 1 and group 2 was 37.04 ± 8.69 years and 32.52 ± 6.49 years respectively (p = 0.04). Graft edema- was found in 7 (15.55%) cases of group 1 and 4 (16%) patients of group 2. Graft Retraction- was found in 2 (4.44%) cases of group 1 and in 3 (12%) case of group 2. Conclusions: this method is safe and effective treatment option for primary as well as recurrent pterygium.
