Abstract
We describe a novel post-COVID vitreoretinal (VR) manifestation. A 24-year-old female presented with acute central scotoma and photopsia in left eye (OS). She also recovered from mild Covid-19 disease 2-months back with supportive measures. Right eye examination was normal. OS revealed best-corrected acuity of 20/40, diminished contrast sensitivity, normal anterior segment and macular subretinal fluid pockets on fundus evaluation. FFA of OS showed late leakage and pooling of dye. OCT of OS revealed multiple neurosensory detachments with intraretinal septae. Her systemic evaluation and blood reports were unremarkable. A working diagnosis of post-COVID unilateral exudative maculopathy due to acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy or incomplete Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome was considered. She showed complete symptomatic and clinical recovery in 4-weeks with oral steroid. This report emphasizes need of awareness about atypical VR manifestations in post-COVID patients.
