Abstract
Two siblings suffering from granular dystrophy with BCVA <6/36 underwent repeated PTK followed by PTK with PRK due to recurrence of the dystrophy over period of 8 years. Every PTK caused increase in hyperopia and recurrence of denser opacities . Finally PRK was added to the procedure along with use of Mitomycin C which improved the refraction and the BCVA and delayed the recurrence of the dystrophy. the young age of the patients necessitated use of anesthesia with propofol in the LASER refractive suite where use of conventional GA was not possible This report highlight use repeated use of excimer laser to treat superficial corneal opacities and the use of propofol to perform the procedures
