Abstract

53 year old female presented with progressive diminished vision, irritation and redness in both eyes (OU) since 3 years and red colour of skin and lips from childhood. Examination showed bilateral capillary hemangioma over face and eyelids. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 6/24 N8 OU. Episcleral telangiectasia, clear cornea, normal anterior chamber depth and cataract noted. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was 40 mmHg right eye (OD) & 36 mmHg left (OS). Dilated fundus examination showed large cup of 0.95 with thin neuroretinal rim OU. Perimetry showed upper arcuate (OD) and double arcuate scotoma(OS).Combined phacotrabeculectomy with mitomycin C was done. BCVA was 6/6 N8 OD & 6/9 N12 OS with episcleral telangiectasia, clear cornea and pseudophakia 6 months post-op. IOP was 14 mmHg OD & 12 mmHg OS. Bilateral Sturge-Weber syndrome associated with glaucoma is a rare presentation It’s management is challenging due to high risk of hemorrhage.
