Abstract
34 years female presented to our outpatient department with diminution of vision in both eyes since last 5 days. There is history of covid vaccination 25 days back(1st dose).Her BCVA in right eye was PL+ve,PR accurate and in left eye PL+ve, PR accurate.On examination-pupils were mid dilated not reacting to light in both eyes. On fundoscopy- bilateral disc edema with tortuous blood vessels,peripaillary hemorrhage L/E was seen ,suggestive of B/L papillitis.MRI Brain with Orbit showed hyperintensities in periventricular white matter,B/L corona radiata and centrum semiovale region suggestive of MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. B/L optic nerve was found to be normal.After Neurology consultation, 3 dose of injection methyl prednisolone 1 gm was given which was tapered later on with oral steroid at dose 1mg/kg body weight for next 14 days. Following treatment her visiual acquity improved i.e. in R/E – 6/60 and in L/E – 3/60 . The patient is on follow up and on neuroprotective vitamins.
