Abstract
INTRODUCTION: SARCOIDOSIS is a granulomatous multisystem disease of unknown etiology.
REPORT: A 40 yr male patient who is a known case of SARCOIDOSIS since 3 months, came with complaint of defective vision left eye since 15 days .he is a known patient of interstitial lung disease and fatty liver disease since 3 months and known diabetic since 3 years.
OCULAR EXAMINATION: VA (UNAIDED) right eye 6/60, left eye counting fingers 3 meters. Anterior segment examination: pigmented mutton fat KERATIC PRECIPITATES, posterior synechiae in both eyes. Fundus examination: optic disc swelling and macular star were noted in left eye..
INVESTIGATIONS: ultrasound abdomen: HEPATOMEGALY and SPLENOMEGALY present . chest X ray PA view-prominent bilateral HILAR LYMPH NODES present, MDCT chest plain-MEDIASTINAL LYMPHADENOPATHY, and ground glass opacities in both lungs, serum ACE levels-176.4 u/l.
