Abstract
20 year old male with h/o trauma with glass , corneoscleral tear wound repair done 8 months back. O/E, vision CF 1 m improving to 6/24 , corneal sutures in situ, aphakic, aniridic. Initially a superior sclerocorneal tunnel incision made. Anterior vitrectomy done. A 5-0 prolene suture end is passed through eyelets of SFIOL, end of the suture burnt with a ball point cautery and suture end is fixed to the eyelets. An angulated 26G needle is passed through 2 mm away from limbus at 3 o clock and 9 o clock after peritomy and partial scleral thickness flap, directed through the sclerocorneal tunnel. The other end of the 5-0 prolene is docked into the needle and pulled out through scleral flap. The end of the the suture is cut, end is burnt with ballpoint cautery to form a knob and buried in the scleral flap and covered by conjunctiva and cauterised. Sclerocorneal tunnel incision covered by conjunctiva. Postoperative , BCVA – 6/18
