Abstract
A young male presented with painful swelling of left lower eyelid with diplopia after sustaining a facial injury by falling with his face down in paddy field 10 days back. Abduction was restricted in left eye. Computed Tomography (CT) showed multiple hypodense intraorbital foreign bodies extending from zygomatic arch to roof of orbit medially involving the medial rectus also. Surgical removal of foreign body under local anaesthesia was done. Multiple wooden foreign bodies (longest being 6cm x1.5cm) were removed from the left orbit and maxillary area of face. Two days post surgery, his best corrected vision in the LE was 6/9 with total resolution of swelling and extraocular movements were full.
