Abstract
We are presenting a case of severe mechanical ptosis with classical neurofibromatosis(NF-1) with right sided sphenoidal wing dysplasia.
A 40 years male presented with multiple nodules all over the body. Nodule over right eye lid which was present since 2 years of age, gradually increased in size to present size covering upper right half of face. He got operated twice for the same, few years back at an interval of 2 years. It is not associated with any systemic symptoms. On ocular examination of right eye, perception of light was present with accurate projection of rays in all quadrants and full ocular movements in all gazes. Lid growth led to severe mechanical ptosis. Redundant conjunctiva was present with corneal opacities masking the details of anterior segment. Left eye was unremarkable except multiple lisch nodules. Contrast enhanced computed tomography of orbit revealed NF-1 with right sided sphenoid wing dysplasia. He was planned for growth surgical excision and reconstruction.
